PORT EDWARD, BC GRADING AND DRAINAGE FOR NEW SIDING NEAR WATSON ISLAND

Scope of Work:

Earthworks for approximately 6 km of rail siding extension including clearing and grubbing, stripping and common excavation, construction of an off-site soil disposal facility, 55,000 m3 of PAG rock blasting and disposal off-site in a lagoon containment, supply and installation of sub ballast, existing culvert extensions, new augured culverts ranging from 900mm 1800mm diameter, municipal road realignment, preload estuary areas including installation of vertical wick drains, environmentally sensitive instream works, supply and installation of temporary bridges, and MSE and Lock-Block retaining walls. Work was completed without interrupting existing rail mainline.
